Altered Stitch, Tuacahn High’s first fashion show of the 2017-2018 school year, caught the attention of all in attendance. Students took on the challenge to create alternative fashion. Alternative means: available as another possibility. The goal was to create fashion that showed another possibly to clothing and design. Students’ ideas stemmed from group discussion and quickly evolved into their own themes. Fashion students used anything from bubble wrap to transparent plastic to faux alligator skin to bring their ideas to life. Held in the Entrada Dance Studio, the designers faced a new set of challenges with presenting a fashion show in a dance studio. Original music composed by Ilias Staheli and custom visuals created by Jonah Burt created an entirely new atmosphere inside the dance studio. (Filmed and edited by the film students of Tuacahn High School.)
